Extract from the thesis of Father Gabriel DELORT-LAVAL, conducted under the direction of Father Bernard POTTIER s.j. at the Institute of Theological Studies of Brussels and defended in June 1996. After a remarkable synthetic presentation of Pierre Teilhard’s thought, the author invites us to discover the two-sided reality that is the Spirit-Matter proposed by Teilhard, before proposing a scientific appreciation of it in the light of the theory of evolution and the new views on matter.

This edition is theTribute-Edition realized in September 2019, following the death of Fr. Gabriel- His text is accompanied by his biography, testimonies and the Tribute-Conference given by Marie BAYON de LA TOUR during the colloquium of the Association in Reims in 2017.
