The presentation of the evolution of the planet Earth and the living world during geological time will allow Chantal Amouroux to help us better understand the current upheavals and to better apprehend what could happen in the near future. This step back, necessary in the face of the abundance of information provided by the media, will be put into perspective with the thought of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, quoted by Pope Francis in his encyclical Laudato si’ on integral ecology. The spirituality of this great Jesuit was indeed very much imbued with the notion of the convergence of humanity on a planet Earth limited in size and resources.
