Louis AVAN, physicist, was a professor at the Faculty of Science in Clermont (1957-1972), a professor at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (1972-1993) and director of the Brigitte-Frybourg Laboratory for the Social Integration of the Disabled (in 1988). But above all for us he is the one who, in 2005, organized a wonderful meeting in Clermont-Ferrand where conferences, exhibitions and visits celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. It is still him who, on September 15, 2016, allowed the birth of the Association for the radiation of the thought of Pierre Teilhard in Auvergne.
