2.A look back at the trip to New York: tribute to Teilhard and commemoration of the Mass on the World

October 16 to 22, 2023, and the trip had been in the planning stages for over a year. Our friends from the ATA (American Teilhard Association) were our travel partners on this journey in the footsteps of Teilhard. Lectures, visits to places where Pierre Teilhard lived, worked, prayed and met his friends. The week ended with a visit to Teilhard’s grave in Poughkeepsie.

3.Mercè Prats, her new book : Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, biographie
Doctor in Contemporary History, Mercè Prats has published a new book dedicated to Teilhard:

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin died suddenly in New York on Easter Day 1955. For many, this wink of Providence was a sign and a symbol. Even today, the figure of the Jesuit continues to fascinate – and intrigue. Mercè Prats has investigated this personality with three inseparable facets: the man, the Jesuit and the scientist. With his undeniable influence, he is the sole embodiment of a possible reconciliation between science and faith. Marked by the trenches of 1914-1918 and his many travels, suspected of spreading too bold a message, he was silenced by his hierarchy. Teilhard redoubled his audacity and led an extraordinary life of adventure. At a time when questions about the planet’s future are taking on increasing prominence, Teilhard de Chardin’s passionate quest can be viewed through the prism of ecology, following his ever-hopeful gaze.

✨ Published by Editions Salvador, the book is on sale in bookshops and on the Internet: https://editions-salvator.com/biographies/11905-pierre-teilhard-de-chardin.html
