This work is a “a real spiritual hike through the Auvergne” where the author gives the account of a solitary walk in the wild Cézallier massif, which culminates on the last stage of the itinerary (the Plateau du Limon, in the Cantalien massif) in a chapter entitled ” I will call the fire “quote from the Mass on the world of Father Teilhard de Chardin whose love of the Earth subtly permeates the entire work.

The author: Father François  CASSINGÉNA-TRÉVEDY, a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure, is a Benedictine monk at the Abbey of Saint-Martin de Ligugé, near Poitiers. A writer and hard-working walker, he has published several works on the borders of poetry, theology, philosophy and musicology.
